How do bands like The Devil Wears Prada get into Warped Tour?

Okay, so I know that if you're just a garage band that you do Battle Of The Bands on the Ernie Ball stage..but how does a band like The Devil Wears Prada, Attack Attack!, Asking Alexandria, and those others that have a record label get into Vans Warped Tour? Does the record company just submit their names in? or do they have to do the Battle Of The Bands process?
